… Within the aesthetic realm of social art practices, my proposed research will make a specific study of the cultural and political cartographies of human migration and displacement. The theoretical and methodological framing made available by Rosi Braidotti’s concept of nomadic ethics is particularly useful here given its capacity to integrate geo-political concerns within a model of inter-subjective development and exchange. Using her theoretical framework of nomadic ethics and applying it to social art practices, I propose a project that will methodologically produce cartographies and figurations surrounding the broad topic of human migration and forced displacement….
